Biography
Dr Hazel Melanie Ramos is the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning and a Professor of I/O Psychology at the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia. Hazel completed her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of the Philippines Diliman, followed by an MA in Psychology major in Counseling at the Ateneo De Manila 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ in the Philippines. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology also at Ateneo de Manila 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ on the life experiences of adolescents with chronic life threatening illness. In 2012, she obtained her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham. Hazel is a Senior Fellow of the Advance HE (Formerly UKHEA).
Hazel has taught several degree courses in psychology including organisational psychology, selection and training, personality theories, research methods, and psychological testing. Hazel's wide research interest has led her to do research on several areas such as work family conflicts, work-life 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@, and psychological ownership and management of non-family employees in family firms. Hazel is one of founding organisers of the Asia Pacific Family Business Symposium.

My current research interests include topics in occupational and occupational health psychology.Together with colleagues at UNMC, I am currently working on an ERGS funded research on health screening and occupational health services among migrant workers in Malaysia. My other research interests include stress, coping and burnout among nurses and allied health professionals, Work-family conflict, expatriate adjustment as well as psychological ownership in family firms.
