We can be proud of the performances of four of our BSc students who presented their final year project work in the 22nd Intervarsity Biochemistry Seminar at UKM on 19th March 2011.  Vipul Murarka presented an oral paper titled “Transformation of Capsicum annuum using Sonication-Assisted Agrobacterium Transformation (SAAT)” to a very high standard of clarity and presentation. 

The posters presented by our students were judged and two were placed in the ‘top 10’ out of 35 at the event.  These were presented by Chee Jenn Yang and Wong Quin Nee. The titles of their posters were “Construction of a subunit vaccine against Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in planta via particle bombardment” and “Investigation of anticancer effects of Acalypha wilkesiana on human liver cancer cell”.
