Dr Stephanie Evers joins School of Biosciences
A warm welcome to Dr Stephanie Evers!
Dr Evers has recently joined the School of Biosciences. Her primary research background centres on functional aquatic ecology. However within this, she has specific interests in the fields of aquatic and riparian botany, invasive species biology, the role of terrestrial versus aquatic energy inputs to aquatic food-webs and aquatic ecology in relation to riparian management strategies.
Previous to arriving in Malaysia, Dr Stephanie was working in the West of Ireland on an EU funded project focusing on the ecological impacts, biology, control and remediation of invasive species. In addition, she has been heavily involved in work in northern Scotland focused on peatland stream carbon cycling.
Dr Stephanie undertook her PhD at the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Glasgow which examined the partitioning of energy resources and the functional ecology of aquatic and riparian communities in relation to clear-felling activities, varying corridor conditions and light levels within afforested catchments in southwest Scotland.
