The School of Computer Science invites strong potential PhD students to apply for the available PhD scholarship (Fees-waiving), in the area of Medical image analysis and Health-related applications.

Applicants should hold, or expect to receive soon, a First Class or high Upper Second Class Honours degree (or the equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics). A master’s level qualification would be advantageous. Candidates should have a good programming skills and strong level of mathematics and statistics. Having experience or good knowledge of image processing/analysis, computer vision and machine learning is highly desirable but not a must (as long as the candidate is able and willing to learn and catch-up).

The position exempts the students from the tuition fees, and would be available for students to start in March/April 2019, or as soon as possible after (subject to visa clearance, when applicable).
