School of Economics held a research workshop
On 7 November 2018, NSE held a research workshop that brings over 30 students and academics from the school to speak on the following:
- Dr Kian Howe Ong on “Measuring the Fiscal Multiplier when Plans Take Time to Implement”;
- Dr Muhammad Shafiullah on “The Harberger-Laursen-Metzler effect: evidence from five SAARC countries”;
- Dr Usman Khalid on “The Effects of Economic and Financial Crises on International Tourist Flows: A Cross-country Analysis”; and
- Dr Daniel Schoch on “Price Formation in Experimental Continuous Double Auction Markets”.
Each speaker spoke for between 20 minutes with 5 to 10 minutes additional time for questions and discussion.
