NSE Malaysia welcomes a new staff
Dr Nusrate Aziz joins the School of Economics, 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia Campus as an Assistant Professor in January 2015. He received his PhD in Economics from the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Birmingham in 2011. Dr. Aziz’s research focuses on the open economy macroeconomics in North-South trade, monetary transmission mechanism and extrinsic uncertainties in economic growth. His current research includes exchange rate pass-through to prices, hysteresis in international trade, and the effect of extrinsic uncertainties on economic growth. Nusrate is also collaborating in some multidisciplinary projects on health insurance, financial literacy and money management, and microfinance. He mainly applies time-series and panel estimation techniques in his research.
Graduating batch of 2015 with Dr Teo and Dr Paul
graduated on 25 July, 2015. This batch of students made us proud with their notable performances both
academically and in extracurricular activities. Five of the students will pursue graduate studies in leading institutions (Warwick 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@, London School of Economics, 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ College London, among others). Our students have also been successful in securing internships and jobs, in places like the Malaysian Rating Corporation (MARC), Metrix 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ Sdn Bhd, among others.
