Flamenco performance
A group of SMLC and PHIR students taking Spanish attended a flamenco performance in Damansara Performing Arts Centre on 13 November 2019, Wednesday.
The aim was to promote Spanish culture through an ancient form of dance that has inspired artistic works throughout the world.
This type of multiple art-form is based on various folkloric music traditions from the south of Spain and it includes the use of the Spanish guitar, clapping hands, and songs that generally deal with deep emotions.
Maria Carrasco is a renowned dancer presenting a performance that portrays quite elegantly the three elements of this art.
The event was hosted by the Embassy of Spain in Malaysia.
