Knowledge Without Borders Network Inaugural Lecture: 'The Future of Internationalisation: Malaysian Perspectives'

The Knowledge Without Borders Network (KWBN) which was formally introduced at the Observatory on Borderless Higher Education's Global Forum recently in Kuala Lumpur presents its inaugural lecture, “The Future of Internationalisation: Malaysian Perspectives".
The lecture will mark the official launch of KWBN, an international collaboration between the academic community, students and professionals in the field of internationalisation of higher education, based at The 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, which aims to drive the research, practice and policy agenda in this area.
The Network’s objectives are to connect and promote institutional knowledge, providing a platform for reflection on ‘The Nottingham Experience’ which is working and studying in a uniquely dynamic, innovative and international environment.
KWBN has lined up a series of programs and activities including seminars and conferences; networking and active exchange programmes for staff and students; sponsorship of fellowships and secondment opportunities; and establishing a virtual resource centre. Academic researchers and professional practitioners who are interested in key areas such as organisational strategy, educational leadership, teaching and curriculum, intercultural communication and workplace ethics will benefit from these activities.
The Network’s inaugural lecture, "The Future of Internationalisation: Malaysian Perspectives" will be delivered by Dr Rozilini M Fernandez-Chung, the Vice President of HELP 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@, formerly of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency within Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia on June 19, 2012.
The lecture will explore the historical context of internationalisation in Malaysia, with a view to assessing the challenges we face in responding to the rapidly changing local and global conditions of international higher education.
In her lecture, Dr. Fernandez-Chung will offer reflections on workplace ethics, organisational culture, and student experience for those institutions in Malaysia and abroad which are heavily involved in the internationalisation of both staff and students.
