This list, which was created by analysing a group of over 150,000 scientists classified via 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields features.

List of UNM Academics Featured on The Stanford List

• Professor Graham Kendall from the School of Computer Science, who is also the Pro Vice Chancellor of the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham, as well as the Provost and CEO of the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia. Professor Kendall was listed under the field of Information & Communication Technologies and the subfields of Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing. Professor Kendall’s expertise include heuristics, meta-heuristics, hyper-heuristics, evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence and operational research.

• Professor Ir Dr Dominic Foo from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, who is also the Director for the Centre for Green Technologies, was listed under the field of Engineering, and subfields of Chemical Engineering.  Professor Foo’s expertise includes process integration and optimisation for waste minimisation and CO₂ reduction.  

• Professor Suyin Gan from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering was listed in the field of Enabling & Strategic Technologies and under the subfields of Environmental Sciences and Energy.

• Professor Pau Loke Show from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, who is also the Director of Food Processing 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ Center and Co-Director of Future Food Malaysia Beacon of Excellence, was listed under the field of Enabling & Strategic Technologies, and under the subfields of Energy and Biotechnology. Prof Show’s expertise include bioprocessing from upstream to downstream and algae biorefinery.

• Professor Asgar Ali, who is also the Director of the Centre for Postharvest Biotechnology from the School of Biosciences, was listed under the field of Agriculture, Fisheries & Forestry and under the subfields of Food Science and Horticulture.

• Professor Hon Loong Lam from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering was listed under the field of Enabling & Strategic Technologies and in the subfields of Environmental Sciences and Energy.

• Professor Haider Abbas Almurib from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was listed under the field of Engineering and in the subfields of Industrial Engineering and Automation and Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

• Dr Christophe Wiart from the School of Pharmacy was listed under the field of Chemistry and in the subfields of Medicinal and Biomedical Chemistry and Plant Biology and Botany.

• Dr Muhammad Aazam from the School of Computer Science was listed for the year 2019 among the top 100K globally including all science and engineering disciplines (ranked at 0.4% globally in all science/engineering disciplines). He is among the top 0.9% globally in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (of which, Computer Science is a part), top 0.6% globally in Networking and Telecom., while in the subfield of Distributed Computing, among the top 0.1% globally.
