Dr Mohan V. Avvari, Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Nottingham 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ Business School, 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia, recently moderated a webinar entitled COVID-19 Gives Sustainability a Dress Rehearsal.

The speaker Jenny Davis-Peccoud, is Partner and Head of Global Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility Bain & Co, who discussed the implications for sustainability in business organisations as a result of COVID-19.

During the course of the webinar she spoke about the differing opinions on whether the effects of the crisis would slow down or speed up efforts towards sustainability. Jenny, who has been with Bain & Co for 27 years, also went into detail about how many governments including the EU, the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, China, India and the United States are calling for a green recovery linked stimulus for supporting sustainability agendas.

She discussed the similar responses between climate change management and COVID-19 management and said that COVID-19 could very well be a dress rehearsal of sorts in addressing climate change. Davis-Peccoud then addressed the four angles to consider in planning or a sustainable future.
