Study areas and library extended opening hours for the 2014/2015 Spring Semester exam period
The study areas and library extended opening hours for 2014/2015 Spring semester exam period will start from 3rd May 2015.
The library will remain opened for Wesak Day and its replacement public holiday on 3rd & 4th May 2015 respectively.
Kindly take note that the Library opening hours for these two public holidays will be from 10.00 am – 11.00 pm.
We hope these arrangements will facilitate students’ preparation for their exams.
The following provisions have been made for additional study areas for the 2014/15 Spring semester exam period.
- Block F2 Computer Centre - All computer rooms at Level A, Block F2 are open 24/7. The computer room at Level B
will only be opened by the security guard when necessary - Library extended opening hours:
The library opening hours from 3rd May 2015 – 29th May 2015 are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 8.30 am to 2.00 am
Saturday and Sunday: 10.00 am to 11.00 pm
The Library will be closed for Labour Day on 1st May 2015.
During the extended opening hours, the Customer Services counter will be closed, and no staff-assisted
lending services, or cash transactions may be carried out.
Please be reminded that Level C in the Library is strictly for silent reading. For group discussions please use
the meeting rooms and the reading areas in the Learning Hubs.
- Learning@The Core will be opened from 10.00am - 12.00am, Monday - Sunday.
- The following seminar rooms and learning spaces in Block F1, F3 and Block H are open 24/7 as below:

Security guards will be monitoring the usage of these study areas with a view to opening additional seminar rooms when deemed necessary.
Please be considerate and observe the rules and regulations when using the library, learning spaces, seminar rooms and computer rooms.
Security guards, library staff and student advisers will be patrolling the area regularly and they are empowered to enforce discipline on any student(s) found to be noisy or misusing any equipment in the rooms during this period.
