Professor Graham Kendall, the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) former Provost, and Professor Malachi Edwin Vethamani, the former Head of the School of English at UNM, have both received the prestigious Emeritus Professor appointment. 

The Emeritus appointment is a prestigious title given to retired, tenured Professors by their institutions as a recognition of their vast contributions to research and teaching in their fields.

Both alumni of the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham (UoN), Professor Kendall and Professor Vethamani dedicated several years of their careers to ensure that the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ was always at the forefront of research and innovation in order to better the communities around them.

Having joined the UoN family as a student in the year 1997, Professor Kendall was a fully tenured Professor by 2007. He took up the role of Vice-Provost (188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ and Knowledge Exchange) in the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia on 2011 and went on to become the Provost/CEO of UNM in 2016 until his retirement in early 2021.

Professor Vethamani also joined the UoN family as a student, graduating in 1996 with his doctorate in English Literature and went on to be both the Head of the School of English as well as a Professor of Modern English Literature at the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia until he too, retired in early 2021.
