We are proud to share the news of our alumna’s achievement—Dr Tricia Yeoh, PhD, Associate Professor of Practice and Director of External Engagement at the School of Politics and International Relations, 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM), has been honoured with the prestigious Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (D.T.M.) Award, awarded by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, the Grand Ruler of Negeri Sembilan. 

For your information, Dr Tricia did her PhD in Political Science and Government at UNM from 2017 to 2022 and is now doing her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from January 2025 until December 2026. 

The distinguished recognition of the Darjah Tuanku Muhriz (D.T.M.) Award is given to individuals as a mark of respect and appreciation for their ability, wisdom, loyalty, merit, devotion, and service to the Ruler and the state of Negeri Sembilan. 

Achieving such a milestone is no easy feat, and we are delighted to see one of our alumni reaching such heights! Dr Yeoh was recognised for her outstanding contributions to public policy and the think tank sector in Malaysia, particularly through her impactful decade-long work with the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS). 

On receiving this prestigious award, Dr Yeoh ruminated: 

“I am incredibly honoured to have been one of the four recipients of the Darjah Tuanku Muhriz, which I understand is in recognition of my work in creating public policy impact in Malaysia over the last 11 years based on policy research and advocacy. Public policy impact takes tremendous effort and time, with a lot of hard work behind the scenes, and I am truly grateful to have contributed meaningfully. With this award, I am even more motivated to continue working on political and public policy studies as well as nation-building, connecting the dots to make the world a better place to live in wherever I go.”
