Notice to Vendors: Fraudulent Purchase Order via Email or Other Means

While the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ cannot prevent this illegal activity, we can share with you some common traits of these fraudulent emails which may help reduce the risk to your company from falling victim to such a scam. Nevertheless, we encourage all vendors to exercise due diligence in verifying the accuracy of all orders at all times. As such, the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ is not responsible for any losses caused by a vendor fulfilling a fraudulent order.
We hope the below examples but not limited to, help your company decide how to identify and address such correspondences:
- the email messages are often poorly written with misspellings and awkward sentence structures.
- the sender's website links are not authentic to the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia.
- the email addresses used by the sender are in a subtle but different formats; examples of fraudulent email address domains that have been used but not limited to, are:
- The messages may include an attachment that is designed to look like an official request for quote or purchase order. It may include an authentic logo or 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ watermark copied from our website or contain some other graphics designed to look legitimate. It may even include a signature that looks legitimate representing one of our management team or buyers.
