- processing withdrawal & suspension applications
- producing official transcripts & certificates
- maintaining the student records database
- updating student details
- setting the academic calendar
- managing & updating course information

Information for Parents and Guardians – Personal Data Protection
The Student Registry is responsible for managing student records and information at the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia (“the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@”). As part of our commitment to data protection and privacy, the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) in all aspects of student data management.
Under the PDPA, once an individual becomes a student of the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@, he or she is recognised as a data subject in their own right. This means that personal information, including academic results, attendance records, and disciplinary matters, can only be shared with third parties (including parents or guardians) when explicit consent has been provided by the student, or when disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.
The relevant provisions are found in Section 6 (General Principle) and Section 8 (Disclosure Principle) of the PDPA 2010, which provide that personal data shall not be processed or disclosed without the consent of the data subject, except where such disclosure is required or authorised under the Act.
The 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ is legally bound to protect students’ privacy and ensure that all personal data is processed lawfully and fairly. Parents and guardians are therefore encouraged to discuss any information needs directly with their child. Where appropriate, students may provide written consent to authorise the release of specific information to parents or guardians.
