Nottingham alumnus working closely with Malaysian Government to combat corruption

Dr. Mark Lovatt applies his education on theology from Nottingham to address corruption in the business sector, paving the way for enhancing corporate governance and integrity through effective measures.
“The misuse of power does immense harm both to society and business. The core subject of my PhD was looking at the relationship between power, evil and human nature from a theological perspective. Having looked at the challenge for a long time, I came to understand the depth and complexity of the problem. That in turn enabled me to design an effective system to deal with the issue” said Mark at an interview held at the Special Talk on How businesses can combat corruption organized jointly by Malaysia Australia Business Council the Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Kuala Lumpur recently.
Mark is leading the Business Integrity Programme for Transparency International Malaysia, as an acknowledged expert in private sector corruption and integrity systems, he works closely with the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission and other government departments to find ways to eradicate corruption in the country.
Mark is often invited to share his knowledge at conferences and seminars across the region.
He is a published author and he also lectures in Theology and environmental ethics.
Mark is the Chief Executive Officer of Trident Integrity a social enterprise that facilitates the delivery of integrity programmes.
