Engineers celebrate alumni day
The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering (M3) organised an exciting unprecedented alumni day on 5 September, hosting a range of events in two different venues.
The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering organised a wide variety of activities for their alumni on campus, starting with a workshop on balancing a busy job with your private life, followed by a badminton match, pub quiz, magic and musical talent activities, and a stroll down memory lane with photographic highlights. The day culminated in a steamboat dinner.
The M3 day was held at Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Club. Starting with breakfast, the day continued with performances, games, alumni sharing sessions, a buffet lunch, and ended with a photography session.
Alumni at both events agreed that the best part of the day was catching up with old friends and making new ones.

“I found that the courses were very good and helped me a lot in my current work. I also got to know many new friends and have very good experiences,” said Lau Tze Yang (Mechanical Engineering,2014).
For Praveen (Chemical and Environmental Engineering, 2006), returning to campus was an emotional experience. “I had a solo campus tour just before attending this event. The campus has had many positive changes and I miss being around here. Nottingham means a lot to me,” he said.
