What career opportunities are available for education graduates?
Our graduates enjoy a wide variety of career paths, ranging from a career in the education industry as teachers or principals to social workers in NGOs. Our School also serves as a springboard for our students to develop into self-made entrepreneurs or dabble in their creativity as educational material developers. You can also join the corporate world as an executive in human resources, training development, or corporate marketing departments.
What is the difference between a BA in Education (TESOL) and a BEd in TESOL?
The BA in Education is a 3-year programme while the BEd in TESOL is a 4-year programme. Both students of BA and BEd programmes will undergo a similar learning experience in the first three years but BEd students must complete a supervised 1-year practical teaching experience in an international school to graduate.
How will my academic performance be assessed if I enrolled in the School?
Your academic performance is assessed through a combination of coursework, projects, written assignments, and quizzes to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of your skills. However, our School does not administer exams.
What are the future academic pathways for UNM’s education graduates?
Our School provides several postgraduate courses for learners who are keen to pursue further studies in the field of education. You can choose between an MA in Education, an MA in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), or an MA in Special and Inclusive Education programmes. The School also provides MPhil and PhD programmes for aspiring students.
Are there opportunities to study abroad at the UK campus?
Yes, you can participate in a student exchange scheme to the UK campus for one semester during the Spring in the second year of your undergraduate study. Students must meet a minimum academic requirement and will still be a registered student of the the Malaysia campus.
