Division of Biomedical Sciences
The School of Biomedical Sciences was established in 2010, and two years later, it offered the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science programme. In 2019, the School of Biomedical Sciences was integrated into the School of Pharmacy as a division to enhance research capabilities and promote greater collaboration among academics.
UNM's BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science has been accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), the United Kingdom's leading professional body in the field. All graduates holding an IBMS-accredited degree will be eligible to apply for registration as a biomedical scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK, upon successful completion of the IBMS Certificate of Competence training portfolio.

To enrol on the BPharm course, you must complete your secondary education (SPM or equivalent) and pre-university education (like a foundation programme), meeting the entry requirements stipulated on the BPharm course webpage.
Do I need to complete SPM to study Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)?
As long as you fulfil the stipulated entry requirements, you can enrol in the BPharm course. However, if you intend to undertake your provisional training (PRP) at government-linked hospitals or healthcare facilities after graduation, you must have passed SPM with at least a grade C in Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language).
