We offer a variety of foreign language modules, along with English and academic study skills programmes, designed to complement degree programmes across the university. Our mission is to enhance students' communication skills, critical thinking, and academic performance, giving them a competitive edge in their studies and future careers.
Our modules are open to all students across the university, including undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students aiming to improve their English proficiency or enhance their academic skills. We also collaborate with external partners to offer customised language programmes designed for specific professional or academic needs.
- Language Modules and Academic Skills Support: We offer foreign language modules in French, Spanish, German, Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin, allowing students to gain new linguistic skills and deepen their cultural understanding. These modules are integrated within degree programmes and are available across all Schools at UNM.
In addition, we provide specialised English language support through modules and workshops focused on improving academic writing, reading comprehension, listening, and speaking skills. These sessions are available both as part of academic programmes and as standalone modules, tailored to meet the needs of students at various academic levels and disciplines.
