How To Apply

  • Check eligibility – Make sure your school and year of study allow for exchange. 
  • Apply through your home campus – 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham UK (UNUK) or 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham, Ningbo China (UNNC) will guide you through the process.
  • Plan your modules – Search the Curriculum Catalogue to select courses at UNM that fit your degree plan.
  • Apply for your visa – Submit your Student Pass application through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) before the intake deadline, with our UNM Visa Office assisting with your visa processing.
  • Pack your bags – Get ready for an unforgettable Malaysian experience!

Visa and Immigration

Students must apply for a Student Pass (Visa) through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), with assistance from the UNM Visa Office. The application deadlines are 1 May for the Autumn or Full Year intake, and 19 September for the Spring intake.

What is the cost of living in Malaysia?
The estimated monthly cost of living for an international student living in Malaysia is between RM1,500 - RM2,500. This includes expenses like accommodation, meals, transportation and bills.
Which university do I pay my tuition fees to when I undergo the exchange programme?
As an inter-campus exchange student, you will continue to pay your tuition fees to your home campus while studying at the 188体育网址_188体育在线-【唯一授权网站】@ of Nottingham Malaysia.
How many credits do I need to take during my exchange at UNM?
The normal credit load is 60 credits per semester and 120 credits for a full academic year. All exchange students are required to take 60 credits each semester to meet programme requirements.
