Entry Requirements
All international exchange applicants must have completed at least one year of study at their home university. The minimum academic requirement is a GPA of at least 3.0 (or equivalent).
Programme Length
- One Semester: Autumn (Sept–Jan) or Spring (Feb–Jun)
- Full Year: September–June
How To Apply
- Check with your university – Confirm if your institution is a Nottingham partner.
- Apply through your home university – They will guide you through the nomination and application process. Your home university will be responsible for sending the supporting documents to UNM to complete your application.
- Plan your modules – Search the Curriculum Catalogue to select courses at UNM that fit your degree plan.
- Apply for your visa – Submit your Student Pass application through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) before the intake deadline, with our UNM Visa Office assisting with your visa processing.
- Pack your bags – Get ready for an academic and cultural adventure in Malaysia!

Students must apply for a Student Pass (Visa) through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), with assistance from the UNM Visa Office. The application deadlines are 1 May for the Autumn or Full Year intake, and 19 September for the Spring intake.
