Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Inter-Campus Exchange Programme, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Complete at least one year of undergraduate study at UNM. 
  • A minimum average score of 55%–70% (depending on the course) is required.  
    • The first-semester results will be used for the initial application  
    • Students must maintain this average in the second semester to remain eligible 
  • Students who need to re-sit for any failed modules are not permitted to progress on the exchange programme. 
  • The degree programme must be offered at either the UK or China campus. 
  • Students cannot apply to study at their home country campus. For example, British nationals cannot apply for the UK campus, and Chinese nationals cannot apply for the Ningbo campus. However, students may apply for the other host campus.

How to Apply 

Follow these steps to apply for the Inter-Campus Exchange Programme: 

Step 1: Pre-Application
  • Decide whether you want to study at the UK or China campus as well as the preferred intake to study abroad. Make sure your programme is eligible for exchange at the preferred campus.  
  • Read the application guidelines carefully to understand the process and requirements. 
  • Prepare a scanned copy of your valid passport (biometric page only) in PDF format. 
  • Use a laptop or personal computer to complete the application. Avoid using a mobile phone for better compatibility. 
Step 2: Complete the Online Application  
  • Log in to the online application portal using your UNM username and password. 
  • Fill in all sections of the application form. 
  • Upload your scanned copy of your passport in the required section. 
  • Submit the application before the stated deadline.

Step 3: After Submission
  • Check your UNM email regularly for a confirmation email from the International Student Support (ISS) Team (Ms. Nor – Outgoing Exchange Coordinator) on whether your exchange application has been accepted or declined.  
  • If accepted, you will receive an email with the Acceptance Declaration Form (ADF) and Module Preference Form (MPF). You will also be scheduled for a pre-departure session conducted by Ms. Nor, covering important topics such as visa application, accommodation, submission of MPF and ADF and other related matters.  
  • Additionally, you will receive emails from either the Inter-Campus Mobility Team (UNUK) and the Global Engagement Office (UNNC) depending on your campus choice. It will help you through the next steps, including the online application, visa application, accommodation arrangements, module selection, and other essential preparations. 
Step 4: Submit Supporting Documents
  • Student Exchange Acceptance Declaration Form (ADF) – to confirm your participation in the exchange programme. 
  • Module Preference Form (MPF) – to indicate the planned modules you will take at the host campus. 
  • Email both documents with the necessary approvals to the International Student Support (ISS) Team (Ms. Nor) by the stated deadline. 
  • If any additional documents are required by the school, the Inter-Campus Mobility Team (UNUK), or the Global Engagement Office (UNNC),  you will receive an email from the host campus with further instructions.
